Interset at RSA Conference: A Look Back Through the Years

Highlights from the past few years at RSA Conference and a look at what’s in store for 2018.

Since our inception, the annual RSA Conference in San Francisco has been an exceptional venue at which we could share important company news, demonstrate the value of our technology, and engage one-on-one with IT, security and business professionals. For our team, RSA has always been about connecting with real people to solve real security problems, and having fun while doing it!

2015

2015 marked our inaugural RSA as Interset Software. That year, vendors were pushed to explore creative options to attract visitors to their booths (in lieu of “booth babes”), and we knew just the ticket to catch plenty of attention: Ron Burgundy. Will Ferrell’s character from “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” has been a hilarious and strangely charming personality since the movie’s release in 2004. So we elicited the help of actor Darren Radeff to bring Ron Burgundy to life right at our booth. Needless to say, attendees were just as excited about his presence as we were. The character drew even more attention than we expected, and he earned a top mention in an IDG roundup of standout RSA booths.

2016

The following year, we were eager to bring another character to life at RSA. We dug deep into our scientific roots and revived the father of modern physics himself, Mr. Albert Einstein. Calling again upon Darren Radeff, Einstein staffed our booth to engage with visitors and speak to the science behind our threat detection technology.

2017

As 2017 rolled around, we thought long and hard about the right character to accompany us at RSA – one that would not just be entertaining but also personify what our technology does. With that in mind, we chose Sherlock Holmes, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous fictional private detective. Much like Interset’s threat detection platform, Sherlock is known for his ability to sift through the noise and identify relevant clues to help solve even the most complicated investigation.

2018

The past three years at RSA were a blast for us, and we have no doubt that 2018 will be just as exciting. You can expect to see different things at our booth (#2330, South Hall) this year, including our awesome new logo, brand new imagery, and you can get your hands on a limited edition t-shirt while learning about some truly exciting news about our product and technology partnerships. And instead of one famous character, you’ll get to meet a handful of our very real and very passionate Interset staffers, who – let’s face it – have far more quirkiness and zeal than one actor could possibly capture.

Learn more about what we’ll be up to at this year’s conference and request a meeting ahead of time so you can meet one-on-one with Interset’s leaders and key stakeholders. If you have not yet registered, you can get a free exhibit hall pass by using our special code X8EINTERST.
