Senior Threat Researcher

Location: Ottawa, ON (Canada) or Irvine, CA (USA)

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Interset’s Product and UI/UX team to help conceive, prioritize, and design key product enhancements
  • Work closely with Interset’s Data Science team as a subject-matter expert—analyzing datasets for threats, while suggesting and designing new behavioral threat and risk models
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert to customers and prospective customers
  • Author research papers and presentations to present internally, at leading industry conferences and in publications

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience working on a cybersecurity-investigations, incidence-response, or forensics-hunt team that analyzes SIEM or other log-data sources for threats
  • Real-world experience in cybersecurity-hunting and analyzing network, firewall, AD endpoint, or other relevant datasets for threats
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • The “feature” you can and want to build is automated tests and test frameworks however you have experience in manual testing and can pull on that knowledge if needed
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in a straight forward no nonsense way
  • You see the value in dev tools like JIRA, Jenkins, GitHub, TestRail and and Slack
  • Experience with Linux installation and administration, particularly on the command line
  • Experience with the testing of security products, Web UI’s and enterprise products is an asset

OPERATIONS

Sales Engineer

Location: San Francisco, CA (USA) or Irvine, CA (USA) or Boston, MA (USA)

Responsibilities:

  • As an Interset Sales Engineer (SE), you’ll be the primary technical resource for the sales team. You will help identify customer pain points and draft creative solutions that speak to customers’ needs.
  • Your masterful presentation skills will be put to test as you demonstrate Interset products to customers on site, via webinar sessions, and at field events such as conferences and trade shows
  • You’re not afraid to travel to visit prospects and customers, and to engage in onsite customer work
  • You will leverage your expertise to assist with responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • You are self-motivated with a proven track record in technical software sales and knowledge of technology

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years relevant experience in selling and supporting software products to IT and IT Security organizations
  • Experience and familiarity with IT Security and/or analytics products and services
  • Experience with networking, server, application, and development technologies
  • Knowledge of big-data technologies (Hadoop, HBase, Cloudera, Cassandra, Phoenix, Spark, etc.) highly desirable
  • Domain expertise with IT operations, security, or compliance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • You should be comfortable working for a dynamic technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base
  • Up to 50% travel
  • Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
